May’s Author-of-the-Month, Oliver J. DeSofi, will give a free lecture entitled “Intrigue, Capitalism and Love,” based on his autobiography of the same title, on May 13th at 2:00pm at The Fountains at Lake Pointe Woods, Key West Auditorium. Published in 2009, his first book is an intriguing and fascinating description of his high speed race through time.
DeSofi's second book, just published, is called “Caregiving: My Story, Your Guide.” It is the inspiring true-life story of his 24-year, 24-7 journey as a professional caregiver to his own wife who passed away late last year after a long battle with the severest form of Multiple Sclerosis. The compelling story told by DeSofi, a former FBI operative, CEO and computer professional, explains how he entered the complex field of caregiving and documents everything he learned about the industry during his 24-year journey. His insight is both informative and heartwarming as he shares the wonderful life two people can have-regardless of the situation.
