Nature Explorers Club for Children - Urfer Family Park

Join a Parks Naturalist at Urfer Family Park for a chance to see and learn about nature. This program is geared for children ages 6-12. Enjoy a different activity each month. Activities may include nature walks, swamp walks, nature photography, nature journaling, learning to identify birds or frogs by the sounds they make, and even getting the chance to see live animals up close and personal! During this short one-hour program, parents or guardians are required to remain in the park, but do not have to join in on the activities. Participants should wear closed-toed shoes and sun protection and should bring water to drink. This event takes place the fourth Saturday of each month through May, except in December.  Registration is limited to 15 each month, so contact Lynda Eppinger to register.
