You don't want to miss Florida premier of "Revenge of the Electric Car". Thursday Jan. 12, 7:00 pm at Burns Court Cinema, 506 Burns Lane, Sarasota. One and only showing at Burns Court Cinema. At 6:00 pm Plug-in electric vehicles will be on display outside the theater including the Fisker Karma,Tesla Roadster, Nissan LEAF, Chevrolet Volt, and Plug-in Hybrid Toyota Prius. Electric bicycles and the latest charging stations will also be on display. Following the film, a panel discussion and audience question and answer session will be held featuring best-selling author and Chevy Volt owner Stephen King, Sarasota County Commissioner Jon Thaxton, Avera Wynne of the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council, Ken Stokes of EcoTechologies, and Helda Rodriguez of NovaCharge.
Event is sponsored by Sarasota County Sustainability, the City of Bradenton, the Sarasota Film Society, EcoTechnologies and Solar by Harriman’s Inc. Parking near the theater is limited so the public is encouraged to park in the lot at the Sarasota County Administration Center, 1660 Ringling Blvd., Sarasota. A free shuttle service to the theater will beoffered from 6-9:30 p.m. by Green Hopper which uses a fleet of neighborhood electric vehicles. Owners of EVs are encouraged to park at the Palm Avenue parking garage which has electric vehicle charging stations available.
