Get ready to rock out to some of our area’s most popular bands at Rock Out for a Cause—a one-of-a-kind event planned and executed by local students, in which teens come together for an evening of music to show their support for a variety of international and local charities. Understanding that today’s youth are a well-informed, global generation with strong values and the desire to make the world a better place, Rock Out for a Cause sets the stage for students to come together and have fun while making a positive impact on the community and beyond!
The heart of ROFAC is the music! In a concert-style setting, the super-talented band lineup includes favorites November Rush, Primavista, Voices, Shoebox Monsters, Tigerweather and Audea. The soul of this event, however, is each of the 5 student-selected charities, whose work is highlighted in order to create awareness and support among all those who attend. Causes include Honor Animal Rescue, Sk8skool, To Write Love on Her Arms, Project Eliminate, and Taking Back Lives.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 at the door and can be purchased at area schools, online, at www.rockoutforacause.com, or by calling (941) 404-5825. First 150 people to register will receive a free ROFAC t-shirt. Through the generosity of event sponsors (Sarasota Guitar Company., Orthodontists of Lakewood Ranch and Sarasota, the Lakewood Ranch Key Club, Buffalo Wild Wings, Red Elephant Pizza and Grill, Wilde Honda, and TOTeMS Architecture), event proceeds will go directly to benefit each of the represented causes and their various programs.
