The “Spring into Outdoor Fest” will be held March 12, 2011 (rain date March 19) from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. @ Snook Haven Park located at 5000 E. Venice Ave. and River Road on the Myakka River. Free kids crafts and games! Dance and listen to the Gumbo Boogie band; learn about your environment; visit with local vendors; try your hand with a Cornhole tournament; eat, drink and be merry; and more! Join in some “good times” and “fun times” on the idyllic Myakka River with the Friends of Sarasota County Parks “Spring into Outdoors Fest” at Snook Haven Park. Raffles: There are only a limited amount of tickets for the main raffle. 300 max. for the $1800 Hobie Kayak. 250 max for an Apple iPad, and 250 max for a ½ day Charter Fishing or sightseeing trip.
