This 6 week drawing course focuses on using dry material color to complete and enhance the beauty of the nude figure form. Exploration of the general proportion, form, value and gesture will be studied to help in the final studies. Limited color and full color will be introduced using a variety of materials. Dry materials such as pastel and conte', also some mixed with charcoal, will be covered on charcoal and colored papers. This course uses live models situated in simple background environments for students to help in the understanding of composition and to work on artwork that can later be framed. Short poses are introduced early in the class with longer and long poses added to complete colored pieces. Demos are given to help facilitate each part of the studies. Students with some basic figure drawing experience will benefit the most since this covers color material rather than the most basic figure drawing. Class requires a 10 person minimum. The cost of this course includes a model fee.
