The Siesta Key Oyster Bar is holding a raffle benefiting Mote’s hospitals for dolphins, whales and sea turtles and winners will be announced during the “bash” that evening.
Winning raffle tickets will be drawn at 8:30 p.m. Follow the Oyster Bar on Facebook at www.facebook.com/skoysterbar.
Raffle tickets are $5 each or three for $10. Tickets may be purchased at the Siesta Key Oyster Bar or by contacting Barbara Meyer.

- Private visit for the winner and three guests to see the black-footed penguins of Mote’s Penguin Island.
- A special “on the water” experience for the winner with a Mote scientist or educator. Possibilities include kayaking, accompanying dolphin or shark researchers in the field or enjoying a “water’s edge” education session.
- An original watercolor painting by Moonshine, Mote’s resident pantropical spotted dolphin. Moonshine, who lives at Mote because he stranded and could not be released into the wild, paints as part of an enrichment program designed to stimulate his body and mind.
- A private tour of Mote’s Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Hospital for the winner and three guests.
- A “Morning Rounds Plus” tour: The winner and two guests will enjoy a hands-on experience at Mote Aquarium before it opens. Guests will help Mote’s aquarists with morning duties, visit our Seahorse Conservation Lab, spend time with our shark trainers and more.
