
The 2013 Great Performers Series season opens with the renowned Tokyo String Quartet, accompanied by pianist Jeremy Denk on January 14. The Tokyo String Quartet will be appearing in Sarasota as part of its final season together as a quartet, ending the group's illustrious 44-year history. Jeremy Denk is considered to be one of the most compelling and persuasive artists on the classical music scene today. The New York Times described his playing as "effortlessly virtuosic and utterly joyous."
All Great Performers Series concerts are at 8 p.m. at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, 777 North Tamiami Trail in Sarasota. Subscriptions for all five concerts are $250, $220, $180, and $140.
