Waldorf Parent Child Playgroups

Monday, Tuesday and  Friday sessions lasting 4-8 weeks will start up at various times in June. Sarasota Waldorf School Parent Child Circle Playgroups foster a community of warmth and support for parents, while providing an atmosphere of joy and respect for young children ages walking to 3 ½ with their parents.

Each session includes nurturing play-centered activities including: a morning of outside exploration, circle games, indoor play, a home made snack and a story told with puppets. This program supports social, motor and language development in a gentle, nurturing environment. Resources for holistic parenting are provided as well as hand crafts  for parents.

About the Waldorf School: Part of a worldwide association of independent Waldorf schools, the Sarasota Waldorf School is a private school, located in Sarasota Florida. It offers Nursery, Kindergarten, Grades 1-5 and Parent Child Circles as well as Adult Education programs. The students are nurtured through a supportive structured and non-competitive environment, using a time-tested Waldorf curriculum. Waldorf trained teachers strive to awaken and encourage a child’s innate capacities, rather than merely imposing intellectual content on the child. It offers a classic academic curriculum, fully integrating the fine and practical arts.  www.sarasotawaldorf.org.
"We chose Waldorf education because it educates the whole child – meaning the heart as well as the mind. Through a gentle, natural process that enables the true spirit and beauty of the child to shine through." says a Sarasota Waldorf School parent.
