“For many years, this event has been extremely successful, raising significant funds for our work throughout the community,” said Sertoma Club Chairman Chris Fulton. “With the change from a luncheon to black-tie evening event, plus the move to St. Regis, we will be able to present a bigger, more elegant, and more immersive experience for our guests. We invite the community to join us for a spectacular evening, while helping people with speech and language needs to find their voice.”
Established in 1956, the Sertoma Club of Greater Sarasota is a dynamic and volunteer-driven organization. Its core mission, “SERvice TO MAnkind,” is geared toward helping children through Sertoma Kids but the Sertoma Club also supports numerous hearing initiatives – such as: providing free personal amplification devices to those who do not have access to hearing support; donating portable hearing loops where they may be beneficial; and providing bedside fire alarms/clocks for those who are severely heard of hearing – for people of all ages, to promote better hearing health and safety. Sertoma Club also supports students with hearing or speech challenges through its scholarship program at the State College of Florida.
