Fatal Motorcycle Crash Under Investigation In Sarasota: Police
A motorcyclist was killed in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 41 in Sarasota late Monday night, Sarasota police said.
SARASOTA, FL — A 36-year-old Sarasota man was killed in a motorcycle crash late Monday night, according to a news release from Sarasota police.
The driver was heading north on U.S. 41 near 14th Street when he lost control of his motorcycle, crashing it around 11:30 p.m., police said. He died from his injuries.
The intersection at 14th Street and U.S. 41 were closed for several hours overnight while police investigated.

The cause of the crash is unknown and remains under investigation by the Sarasota Police Department’s Traffic Unit.
