FL GOP Chair Accused Of Sexual Battery, Under Investigation: Report
The victim claims she was in a relationship with FL GOP chair Christian Ziegler, and his wife, a Moms for Liberty co-founder, a report said.

SARASOTA, FL — Christian Ziegler, chairman of the Republican Party of Florida and former Sarasota County commissioner, is under investigation for sexual battery, according to a report from the Florida Center for Government Accountability.
The woman claimed she had been involved in an ongoing three-way sexual relationship with both Christian and his wife, Bridget Ziegler, Sarasota County school board member and Moms for Liberty co-founder, the report said.
The incident under investigation happened when the GOP chairman and the accuser were alone at her house without his wife, FCGA said.

The Sarasota Police Department confirmed that Christian Ziegler is involved in an “active and ongoing” investigation, Peter Schorsch, publisher of Florida Politics, posted to X, formerly Twitter.
When Patch asked the Sarasota Police Department for information related to the Ziegler investigation, the agency provided a heavily redacted police report.

According to the report, police responded to a redacted address in Sarasota the afternoon of Oct. 4.
While much of the victim’s narrative is redacted, she told investigators that she was “raped” and “sexually battered at home” on Oct. 2, the report said.
Ziegler’s name isn’t mentioned in the report.
Patch has reached out to Christian Ziegler, Bridget Ziegler and the Republican Party of Florida for comment. This story will be updated when they respond.
