NORTH PORT, FL — A North Port man was found guilty of charges related to creating child sexual abuse videos and other material, according to a U.S. Department of Justice news release.
Gregory Allen Williamson, 58, also known as “Vlad Vlad, was found guilty by a federal jury of enticement of a minor to engage in sexual activity, three counts of production of child sexual abuse material and possession of child sexual abuse material.
Williamson, a recent immigrant from Eastern Europe who was indicted on Nov. 3, 2021, faces a maximum penalty of life in federal prison.

Testimony and evidence presented at his trial shows that Williamson isolated and groomed a girl to engage in sexual activity when she was 12 years old, the Justice Department said.
Using the alias, “Vlad Vlad,” he sent the victim anonymous, sexually explicit emails, including ones that contained child sexual abuse material.

Williamson later gifted the victim two cell phone chargers that had hidden cameras and used them to record and produce sexually explicit images of the victim when she was naked in her bedroom, the DOJ said.
