Flood Advisory Issued for 3 Bay Area Counties (Expired)

The advisory will remain in effect until 4 p.m. Friday.

As heavy rains continue to pummel west central Florida, the National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for three Tampa Bay area counties.

The advisory covers Sarasota, Hillsborough and Manatee counties. It will remain in place until 4 p.m. Friday.

Forecasters are warning areas that will likely experience flooding include Sarasota, Bradenton, Temple Terrace, Tampa, Northdale and Lutz.

A flood watch has also been issued by the agency for Pasco, Pinellas and Hillsborough counties until 8 p.m. Saturday. The watch does not extend to Sarasota and Manatee counties for Saturday. Rain chances throughout the region are anticipated to remain in the 70 percent range through Sunday afternoon.
