The Fountains At Lake Pointe Woods Receives National Awards
The Fountains at Lake Pointe Woods, an independent and assisted living community in Sarasota, has received national recognition once again.

SARASOTA, FL -- The Fountains at Lake Pointe Woods, an independent and assisted living community in Sarasota, has received national recognition once again.
The community was recently honored by national senior living provider Watermark Retirement Communities with nine awards, including Director of the Year for the community’s Assisted Living Programs Director Paige Cohen and three Breakthrough Awards for associate engagement.
Watermark Retirement Communities, which owns and operates The Fountains at Lake Pointe Woods and 51 other communities nationwide,honored the community during its annual Thrive Awards, which recognizes communities for creating extraordinary and innovative communities where people thrive.

“I’m incredibly proud of all of the associates from our community that were acknowledge on a national level this year,” said Peggy Beasley, Executive Director of The Fountains at Lake Pointe Woods. “These hardworking individuals are the backbone of The Fountains and are what make working and living at our community so great.”
The Fountains’ Assisted Living Programs Director was one of nine individuals to be awarded the Program Director of the Year Award, which honors directors who have demonstrated leadership excellence and led their department through a successful year in terms of financial performance, standards review and associate and resident satisfaction.

Cohen was also given a Breakthrough Award, along with Lorraine Chimento and Priscilla Ortiz-Espianl, for their work on the community’s associate engagement survey. The survey was sent to all 125 employees and was designed to increase associate satisfaction. It asked questions about leadership, career development and pay.
“The Fountains is an unbelievable place to work and it shows,” said Peggy Beasley, Executive Director of The Fountains at Lake Pointe Woods. “According to the survey, 99 percent of our associates said they would refer a friend to work here, which is one of the highest compliments that we could receive.”
The Fountains also earned its Standards Review Accreditation in 2017. The internal review has more than 3,000 questions touching on all departments and requires that the community score above a 90 percent in all categories. In addition, they joined The Platinum Club, which is awarded to the most fiscally responsible communities.
