SARASOTA, FL — The eastbound lanes of Fruitville Road are closed from Paramount Drive to I-75 Saturday as authorities investigate a shooting reported at Fruitville Road and Cattleman Road.
The shooting occurred just after 8 p.m., according to a news release from the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office. Authorities are asking drivers to avoid the area.
"All persons involved are accounted for and there is no danger to the public," according to the news release.
