Gas Leak Blocks Traffic On U.S. 41: Sarasota Police

SARASOTA, FL — A gas leak reported at The Vue, a high-rise condominium tower at 1155 N. Gulfstream Ave., has stopped traffic on a section of U.S. 41 Friday afternoon, the Sarasota Police Department wrote in a Facebook post.

All southbound traffic from Fruitville Road towards the Ringling Cause is blocked, the department said.

Officers are on the scene for traffic control, but there are already delays.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
