Goodwill Manasota expands operations, promotes three directors
Goodwill Manasota has recently promoted three directors to oversee additional responsibilities to further the mission of the organization.

SARASOTA/BRADENTON, Fla. – With its recent growth of operations - including the completion of its new corporate campus on 51st Ave. E. in Bradenton and its new store on U.S. 301 - Goodwill Manasota has recently promoted three directors to oversee additional responsibilities to further the mission of the organization. Donn Githens has been promoted to Director of Retail Operations, Daniel Hancock to Director of Customer Service and Operations Training for Mission Development Services, and Sam Budd to Director of Materials Management and Post Retail Operations.
“We have exceptional talent and resources within our organization, and because of our continued growth and the sheer size of Goodwill Manasota’s operations, we are pleased to announce the promotions of Donn, Daniel and Sam,” said Bob Rosinsky, president & CEO of Goodwill Manasota. “The mission at Goodwill Manasota is changing lives through the power of work, and these team members exemplify what we have to offer the community. These changes will help us better serve our community, as we continue to turn donations into jobs.”
Githens is now responsible for supporting and developing the teams that operate Goodwill Manasota’s eight primary Goodwill Good Neighbor Centers, four Clearance Centers and the new goods warehouse as the new Director of Retail Operations. With more than 600,000 annual donors visiting 33 local donation sites and more than 1.9 million retail transactions, managing retail locations, keeping shelves stocked, employees trained and operations running smoothly is essential to Goodwill’s success.
Hancock, who has been with Goodwill Manasota for five years, will continue leadership responsibility for training as well as donated goods operations development services under the Mission Development Services (MDS) program. MDS assists other Goodwill agencies around the country, on a contractual basis, to grow their own donated goods business.
Budd is responsible for the purchasing team in addition to operations of salvage and the bargain barn. As part of Goodwill’s commitment to stewardship of donations and to waste reduction, Sam finds after-market recycling and salvage markets to sell donated goods that were not saleable in stores. Last year, Goodwill Manasota diverted 37 million pounds of goods from the local landfill.
