Gun-Wielding Dollar General Robber Sought: North Port Police
Officers are searching for a gun-wielding suspect who robbed a North Port Dollar General Sunday morning, police said.

NORTH PORT, FL — Investigators are searching for the gun-wielding suspect in the armed robbery of a Dollar General at 3085 W. Price Blvd., the North Port Police Department wrote in a Facebook post.
Officers responded to the store Sunday just after 11 a.m.
The man pulled a gun on the store’s clerk and demanded cash from the register, police said. He ran from the Dollar General on foot, possibly northbound on Cranberry Boulevard, with an unknown amount of money.

The suspect, a Black man, is about 6 feet, 2 inches tall, the agency said.
Anyone with information about the robbery or suspect is asked to call NPPD at 941-429-7300.
