Health Rebate Checks Are in the Mail – Really

Health care rebate checks are in the mail for some Florida residents who were found to be over paying for their coverage, reports TBO.com.

The new Affordable Care Act passed by Congress, and upheld by the Supreme Court, limits the administrative fees health companies can collect from consumers.

In Florida, some subscribers to Humana and Florida Blue (formerly Blue Cross and Blue Shield) are are geeting unexpected refund checks in the mail, reports TBO.com.

A total of three million customers nationwide will get some refund money. The Florida insurers are notifying customers of the rebates prior to sending the checks.
