Beneva Road Closed From Fruitville To Parkland After Hit-And-Run Crash Damages Power Pole
Beneva Road is closed between Fruitville Road, Parkland Avenue after a hit-and-run crash damaged a power pole, Sarasota police said.
SARASOTA, FL — A section of Beneva Road will be closed for several hours Tuesday afternoon after a hit-and-run crash damaged a power pole.
The roadway will be closed between Fruitville Road and Parkland Avenue for about three hours, Sarasota police tweeted around 3:30 p.m. Drivers are asked to find alternate routes.
Police responded to the area to investigate the crash and to search for one driver, who drove away.

Other people involved in the crash suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
