Holiday Tradition: Sarasota Police Rock Out With Patrol Car Light Show
The Sarasota Police Department continues its tradition of sharing a holiday patrol lights video set to a Trans-Siberian Orchestra song.

SARASOTA, FL — For the fourth year in a row, the Sarasota Police Department is spreading holiday cheer by rocking out to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
The agency released its annual holiday patrol lights video Sunday night on social media. (Watch the video below.)
In the video, five patrol cars flash their lights in time to the band’s performance of “First Snow.”

“We wish you and your families a safe and peaceful holiday season from all of us here at the Sarasota Police Department,” the agency wrote.
In its first Christmas video, released in 2019, SPD used the band’s song “Wizards in Winter.” The following year, they used the song “A Mad Russian’s Christmas” and last year, “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo.

Since the start of this tradition, Genevieve Judge, Sarasota police public information officer, has reached out to Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s management group, NC Management, for permission to use the band’s music each year.
