Ian Black Real Estate hires Steven Larkin as sales associate
Larkin brings more than 40 years of commercial real estate experience to the premier commercial real estate brokerage firm in Sarasota
Ian Black Real Estate, Sarasota’s premier commercial real estate brokerage firm, has hired Steven Larkin as sales associate.
Larkin has more than 40 years of experience in commercial real estate, focusing largely on the retail vertical. During his career, he has helped national retailers execute growth plans throughout the U.S. and Canada and has worked with various concepts in all retail environments.
“Steven brings a unique set of skills to our team, having previously worked with large national brands on the development side,” said Ian Black, partner and founder of Ian Black Real Estate. “We look forward to working alongside of him and learning from his experience.”

Prior to joining Ian Black Real Estate, Larkin served as the director of store development for Detwiler Farm Market, where he led the successful opening of two new large-format concepts. He has also represented brands such as Starbucks, Payless Shoe Source and Helzberg Diamonds. Larkin moved to Sarasota in 2013 and began his career as a commercial real estate broker.

Larkin graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. Prior to entering the commercial real estate market, he served as a broadcast journalist, covering the booming real estate market. He later earned his master’s degree in land development, also from Texas A&M University.
Larkin is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
