“At IKEA, our focus is on making it easier for more people to access affordable, well‑designed home furnishings,” Rob Olson, interim CEO, said. “Opening a new store in Sarasota builds on our broader efforts to meet customers where they are, including expanding our footprint in Florida last year through five new plan-and-order points with pick‑up at select Best Buy locations across the state.”
The Sarasota store will also offer the brand’s Swedish Deli with IKEA food favorites like meatballs, plant balls, hot dogs, veggie dogs, plant dogs, cinnamon buns and more.
IKEA’s five other Florida stores are in Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando, Sunrise and Tampa.
The company also has pick-up locations and showrooms at Best Buys in Boynton Beach, Daytona Beach and Lakeland.
