Judge: Mom Accused in Anti-Vaccine Kidnapping Case Can't See Daughter

Megan Everett, 24, was tracked down after the story was featured on CNN's "The Hunt."

The mom accused of kidnapping her daughter to avoid vaccinating the child will not be able to see her daughter, a judge ordered during a court hearing Wednesday morning in Broward County.

The judge denied bail for Megan Everett, 24, charged with kidnapping after taking her daughter from Sunrise, Fla., in May 2014.

Mother and daughter, 3-year-old Lilly Abigail Baumann, were found in Palatka, Fla., after a neighbor saw the kidnapping featured on CNN’s ā€œThe Huntā€ on Aug. 2.

Everett faces kidnapping, interference with custody and concealing a minor contrary to a court order charges. A federal warrant was also issued for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, the sheriff’s office noted.

Broward Judge John Hurley indicated she can have no contact with her child unless and until another judge allows her to, according to the Sun Sentinel.

The resident ā€œrecognized the mother and daughter and knew they were living on Motes Lane, south of Palatka,ā€ according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office. The viewer contacted CNN. CNN contacted the FBI.

Lilly was recovered safely and is back in the custody of her father, Robert Baumann, 27, of Davie.
