K9s Celebrate National Dog Day, Too
Share photos of your favorite four-legged friends on Patch.

Just because they wear bulletproof vests and have badges doesn’t mean police K9s don’t celebrate National Dog Day.
The K9 squad from the Sarasota Police Department proved just that by posing for a quick shot in honor of today’s (Aug. 26) national celebration of man’s best friend. They – and their human handlers – also took time out to wish other critters a “Happy National Dog Day” via the agency’s Facebook page.
“We think some of the best dogs wear badges,” the department announced on its page.
