Katt Hefner to Present Two New Musical Legend Tribute Shows

Hefner's legends tribute concerts to pay homage to disco queen Donna Summer on May 18 and R&B/Pop icon Natalie Cole on July 13

(Tampa Bay, Florida) -- On the heels of her two sold out WMNF Tribute to Aretha Franklin shows last fall and her “Sweet Nancy: A Toast to Nancy Wilson” SRO show at the St. Pete Palladium last month, by popular demand, musical showcase producer and jazz/R&B/soul song stylist Katt Hefner will be presenting two new legends tribute concerts this season at Manatee Performing Arts Center, paying homage to the rich melodic legacies of disco queen Donna Summer and R&B/Pop icon Natalie Cole.

"Last Dance: A Tribute to Donna Summer" will be presented on Saturday evening, May 18, at Manatee Performing Arts Center's Stone Hall. During this dazzling show conceived, written and produced by Katt Hefner and developed and directed by renowned musical theatre guru Nate Jacobs, Hefner will recreate The Queen of Disco’s energetic stage presence through her spot on renditions of such Summer classics as I Feel Love, Bad Girls, Hot Stuff and MacArthur Park which have been known to transport audiences straight back to the '70s.

Hefner's second musical legend tribute at Manatee Performing Arts Center is set for July 13 when she presents "Sophisticated Lady: The Songbook of Natalie Cole." Cole’s career spanned several decades and genres, from R&B to pop. Her greatest success was her "Unforgettable... with Love" album, originally made popular by her father Nat King Cole, which sold over seven million copies.
