Large Alligator Found In Sarasota Co. Woman's Kitchen

The woman told a news outlet the sighting of the 7-foot-11-inch alligator sent her shaking.

VENICE, FL — A massive alligator had to be recently removed from a Sarasota County home after being stuck in a woman's kitchen, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and a media report.

The wildlife conservation commission said in a statement to Patch the department responded on March 28 to the incident.

Mary Hollenback, who was in the home at the time, told Fox 13 that the mere sight of the 7-foot-11-inch alligator caused her to immediately shake and wonder how she would get rid of it.

The news outlet shared photos of the alligator, sitting in front of a refrigerator. It reportedly entered Hollenback's home by forcing its way through her door.

"It’s just a magnet, but he was pushing on this and eventually just broke the magnetic connection and came through the door," she told Fox 13.
