Lido Beach Pool Reopens In Sarasota
The popular public facility was closed after lightning damaged pool equipment. (Breaking)

SARASOTA, FL – Lido Beach Pool reopens today after a two-week closure following a lightning strike which damaged the electrical panel.
The pool's electrical panel, which controls the pumps and chemical levels, was replaced after lightning struck the night of July 18 when the pool was closed, city officials said.
Weather permitting, the pool, at 400 Benjamin Franklin Drive, is open to the public Tuesdays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Daily fees are: $4 for adults; $2 for seniors; $2 for children under 12. Seasonal and annual passes also are available for purchase.
