LWRCF Announces 25th Anniversary Celebration Kick Off on March 23

The Lakewood Ranch Community Foundation (LWRCF) announces the celebration of the organization’s 25th anniversary at the Sarasota Polo Club, 8201 Polo Club Lane in Sarasota, on Sunday, March 23, 2025, from noon until 4 p.m. This unique event combines the kick-off of the foundation’s 25th anniversary with a polo match. Prior to the game there will be a meet and mingle and lunch. A brief program will announce LWRCF’s fundraising goal during the anniversary year; recognize and honor C. John A. Clarke, founder of LWRCF, with the Inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award, Exemplifying Community; and reveal the LWRCF Junior Humanitarian of the Year award winner. The PR reporter mascot – who will blog about the anniversary happenings through the year – will be unveiled. There will be an overview of LWRCF’s past, how the foundation got to the present, and a view into the future.

Professional polo players will be on hand to explain the game of polo from “A to Z,” and guests will have the opportunity to learn how to play with the mallets that are used in the game. Players will join guests after the game to mingle and autograph balls.
