Male Nurse Accused of Exposing Himself to Patient

A Bradenton man faces criminals charges after the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office said he exposed himself in front of a woman who was convalescing at Complex Care Hospital.

The incident occurred Aug. 27 when the man is accused of entering the 54-year-old woman’s room at the Sarasota hospital and telling her about his personal life, a media release from the sheriff’s office stated. He went on to tell the patient, who is recovering from a fall, that he “wanted to be her private nurse.” The man then touched his genitals, police said.

That evening, the woman woke up to the man “masturbating at her bedside.”

The nurse is currently under investigation by the Florida Department of Health for three other similar incidents that took place while he worked at a different medical facility, Sarasota deputies say.

Arrested was Sean C. Golden, 43, of 13405 Brown Thrasher Pike in Bradenton. He was booked into the Manatee County Jail on a charge of lewd exhibition in front of a disabled person and was later released on $5,000 bond.
