Man Arrested In OH For Sexual Battery Of Child In FL: Sarasota Sheriff

OHIO — U.S. marshals in Ohio arrested a man on Dec. 14 following a Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office investigation into accusations that he sexually battered young relatives.

Denis Eugene White, 63, was charged with sexual battery of a child and lewd or lascivious molestation, according to a SCSO news release.

Investigators with the agency’s special victims unit learned Oct. 9 that white had sexually battered the child in 2020, while they were both living in Sarasota.

During the investigation, detectives learned there were many allegations against White from several other children in his family who lived in several jurisdictions in Ohio, the sheriff’s office said.

Detectives developed probable cause to charge White based on “extensive reviews of forensic interviews,” the agency said.
