Man Bound, Sexually Assaulted 70-Year-Old Woman At Sarasota Home: SCSO
The suspect also robbed another woman who was at the Sarasota home of $900 and stole her car, the sheriff's office said.
SARASOTA, FL — A man faces multiple felony charges after sexually assaulting a 70-year-old woman at her Sarasota home and stealing money and a car from another woman at the residence, authorities said.
Marcin Wasag, 38, was charged with sexual assault, aggravated battery and four additional felonies, according to a Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office news release.
Deputies received a 911 call about the stolen vehicle Sunday around 4:30 p.m.

When they got to the Sarasota home, the 70-year-old victim had been bound and sexually assaulted in the home, while a 66-year-old woman was robbed of $900 and her car, the agency said.
Wasag was later found driving the stolen vehicles and drove away when deputies tried to pull him over. He was taken into custody after crashing the car, the sheriff’s office said.

He was brought to Sarasota Memorial Hospital, where he was treated for injuries from the crash. Wasag is currently being held in the Sarasota County Correctional Facility without bond.
