Man Killed In House Fire: North Port Fire Rescue
A man was killed in a house fire early Sunday morning, North Port Fire Rescue said.
NORTH PORT, FL — A man was killed in a house fire early Sunday morning, North Port Fire Rescue wrote in a Facebook post.
Firefighters and North Port police officers responded to the fire in the 3000 block of South Salford Boulevard just after midnight.
The man’s body was found inside the home.

North Port police and the state fire marshal are investigating the cause of the fire, though early indications show that it was accidental, NPFR said.
