Man Robbed At Gunpoint In Downtown Sarasota: Police
Three people face charges in the armed robbery of a 19-year-old early Friday morning on Main Street, Sarasota police said.
SARASOTA, FL — Three people face charges related to the robbery of a 19-year-old man at gunpoint early Friday morning in downtown Sarasota.
The armed robbery happened in the 1500 block of Main Street just after 12:30 a.m., according to a Sarasota police news release.
The victim, who is from Sarasota, told officers that he was punched in the face by a man with a gun.

The man demanded money, stole his phone and ran away from the scene, police said.
Officers were able to find three suspects, all from Sarasota, and arrest them.

Bryan Lopez, 27, and Alexis Saavedra, 23, were each charged with a single count of armed robbery with a firearm.
Ayleen De La Cruz, 23, was charged with three counts of armed robbery with a firearm.
