Man’s Body Found In Water Near O’Leary’s Tiki Bar: Sarasota Police

SARASOTA, FL — The death of a man whose body was found floating in the water near 5 Bayfront Drive — the address for O’Leary’s Tiki Bar & Grill — Thursday evening is under investigation, according to a Sarasota Police Department news release.

His body was found in the water by a citizen, who called 911, around 6:15 p.m., SPD said. He was pronounced dead when officers arrived at the scene.

Police say his death was an isolated incident with no threat to the public

While police don’t believe any foul play was involved, his cause of death will be determined by the District 12 Medical Examiner’s Office.
