Manatees Predict Super Bowl Winner At Sarasota Aquarium: Watch

Mote Marine Aquarium's manatees are split on who will win Sunday's Super Bowl LVII match-up between Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles.

SARASOTA, FL — Mote Marine Aquarium’s manatees are split on which team will be the winner in Sunday’s Super Bowl LVII.

Each year, Hugh and Buffett are asked to make their predictions in the big game.

This year, Buffett is rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles, while High is cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs.

They made their team preferences known Wednesday morning when they were asked to pick the helmet of the NFL team they thought would win the Super Bowl. The aquarium shared a video of the manatees making their annual predictions. (Watch the video below.)

In the video, the staff member narrating their choices can be heard encouraging the manatees as they make their picks.

“It looks like Buffett is an Eagles fan,” she said. “Good choice, Buffett.”

He’s chosen the Super Bowl winner 11 out of the 15 times the aquarium has asked the manatees to support a team, she said.

After this, Hugh swam toward the Kansas City helmet.

“Hugh is a Chiefs fan,” the staff member said.

She added, “Alright, so, we’ve got Buffett, who has chosen the Eagles, and Hugh has chosen the Kansas City Chiefs and we’ll see who’s right.”
