Marina Jack Announces Annual Holiday Boat Parade of Lights
The 31st Annual Sarasota Holiday Boat Parade of Lights will be held on Saturday, December 10. Registration information is available online.

The 31st Annual Sarasota Holiday Boat Parade of Lights will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 beginning at 6:00 p.m. The Sarasota Holiday Boat Parade of Lights has been a downtown Sarasota tradition for over 30 years. Cash prizes will be awarded for various vessel classifications. Suncoast Charities for Children and Marina Jack have partnered to chair this event for another year.
The Parade route has been expanded by an additional turn marker at the southwest side of Bayfront Park. All boats must now pass approximately one third of the Sarasota Bay side of Bayfront Park within a few yards, to be considered for judging. The Bayfront Park spectator viewing area has been expanded to include the entire Northern tip of island near the fountain. The VIP viewing area has been moved to the Marina Jack's fuel dock to allow additional space for spectators. This will improve spectator viewing from Bayfront Park considerably. The SNN 6 local news staff will be covering the event throughout the evening at several areas throughout Marina Jack.

Registration Info
There is no entry fee for boats registering for the parade if registered by November 24th. After November 24th, the registration fee is $20. The deadline for entry is December 8th, 2016. The Captains Meeting for parade participants will be held at Marina Jack, Thursday December 8th, 2016 at 5:30 pm. All participants must attend the mandatory Capt's Meeting.
Entries will be judged in 4 categories:

- Private (P1): 21' - 35'
- Private(P2): 36' and over
- Corporate (C1): 21' - 35'
- Corporate (C2): 36' and over
There is a perpetual trophy awarded to the "Most Creative" entry, which is displayed for one year in the Marina Jack restaurant. Cash prizes, awards and trophies will be awarded at a ceremony on Marina Jack's fuel dock at 8:30pm following the parade. It is possible to win 1st or 2nd in your category in addition to most creative.
Private Classes - Cash and Trophies awarded.
Corporate classes - No Cash awarded, trophies only.
Suncoast Charities for Children are working with select local agencies to bring approximately 60 special needs attendees to the sponsors/media area.
A cash donation will be made to the Suncoast Charities for Children, Inc. from the proceeds of this event.
