Masked, Armed Trio Robs Dollar General: Police

Although the robbers' faces are covered, Sarasota detectives are hoping the public can help with identification of the three men. [BREAKING]

SARASOTA, FL – The Sarasota Police Department is attempting to identify three armed suspects who allegedly robbed a local Dollar General store Tuesday night.

The trio walked in, confronted an employee, flashed a gun and demanded cash at the business at 2628 17th St. at approximately 10:30 p.m., police said.

The worker was taken at gunpoint to the office where a second employee was working. The two workers gave the three masked men an undisclosed amount of cash, the department said.

The suspects fled the store, and the employees were not injured.
