Miss UT, Sarasota County Native Noelia Voigt Wins Miss USA Title
Noelia Voigt, Miss Utah and a Sarasota native and Pine View graduate, was crowned Miss USA in Reno Friday night.
RENO, NV — Miss Utah USA Noelia Voigt, a Sarasota County native, won the Miss USA title Friday night at the 72nd Miss USA Pageant in Reno.
She beat out first-runner up Miss Hawaii USA Savannah Gankiewicz to earn the crown, according to a news release from the pageant.
Miss Wisconsin USA Alexis Loomans was second runner-up, while third runner-up was Miss Pennsylvania USA Jasmine Daniels and fourth runner-up was Miss Texas USA Lluvia Alzate.

Voigt will represent the U.S. at the Nov. 18 Miss Universe pageant in El Salvador.
“I am still at a complete loss for words. After 7 years of chasing this dream of becoming Miss USA, it finally came true,” Voigt wrote in an Instagram post. “Thank you to everyone who has celebrated this win with me. It has been the most heartwarming thing to see so many people who know my story and my journey be so invested and supportive. This is a win for all of us! To think that seven years ago I was just starting my pageant journey and now I am Miss USA 2023. My mind is blown.”

A Venezuelan American, she was born in Sarasota and graduated from Pine View School, WWSB reported.
Voigt previously won the Miss Teen Florida title in 2018 and was named Miss Connecticut Collegiate America in 2021, according to the Suncoast News Network.
The interior design student has also written a children’s anti-bullying book, “Maddie the Brave.”
