More Victims Possible in Child Molestation Case, Sheriff Says
A Sarasota man faces criminal charges related to sexual abuse allegations lodged by young girls. Deputies fear there may be more victims.

A 48-year-old Sarasota man faces a number of criminal charges after deputies say he molested several young girls.
The investigation into the alleged actions of Mark Wyman began when two mothers contacted the state Department of Children and Families alleging their young daughters had been touched inappropriately by the man who lives at 7382 Deer Crossing Court. The girls, two who are 12 and one who is 6, all described similar acts that occurred at Wymanās home, in his swimming pool and at other locations he took them to, an arrest report stated. Some of the incidents described began as long as 5 years ago, deputies noted.
Wyman was brought into custody in Hillsborough County on Friday and remains in jail there without bond, jail records indicate. At this time, he has been charged with one count of sexual capital battery and two counts of lewd or lascivious molestation on a victim under 12.
