Mother Runs Over Daughter Near Middle School: FL Highway Patrol
The girl, who was critically injured, was brought to All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg via Bayflite, Florida Highway Patrol said.

SARASOTA, FL — A mother ran over her 12-year-old daughter near Booker Middle School in Sarasota Monday morning, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
When the middle schooler got out of her mother’s SUV on the passenger side just before 8 a.m., she dropped markers and pens, and bent over to pick them up.

Her mother didn’t see her getting them from under the SUV and drove forward, running her over, FHP said.
