Motorcyclist Dies Several Days After Manasota Key Crash: FHP

MANASOTA KEY, FL — A 29-year-old Venice man died Wednesday at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, several days after crashing his motorcycle in Manasota Key, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The motorcyclist, who hasn’t been named by the FHP, was traveling north on Manasota Key Road, just south of Manasota Beach Road, on Saturday night when he traveled off the road to the right, troopers said. He crashed into a tree and a mailbox in the 6000 block of Manasota Key Road around 9:45 p.m.

He was brought to Sarasota Memorial Hospital, where he died from his injuries. The crash remains under investigation, troopers said.
