Watch: Mustang Slams Into Crowd During Friday Event At Sarasota Lamborghini Dealership
A Mustang veered out of control and drove into a crowd at a Lamborghini Sarasota event Friday night. No injuries were reported, SCSO said.
SARASOTA, FL — An out-of-control Ford Mustang crashed into a crowd of onlookers during an event at a Sarasota Lamborghini dealership on Clark Road Friday night.
A video shared on YouTube shows the car lose control during the Lamborghini After Hours event, a monthly car meetup, and drive up over the curb as people scatter. The video has been shared across social media. (Watch the entire video below. The crash happens around the 5 minute, 50 second mark.)
There were no injuries reported in the crash, which was called in around 7:38 p.m. on Friday, Kaitlyn R. Perez, community affairs director for the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, said in an email.

One citation was issued for careless driving, though the citation was still being processed and not available yet, Perez said.
Friday’s event was the dealership’s first car meetup of the year. Lamborghini Sarasota shared its safety protocols for the event on Facebook.

“We ask that everyone is respectful. Please no revving, burnouts, high-speed flybys or other activities that might be considered dangerous or disrespectful to others,” the dealership said.
It also told attendees not to stand in the median to watch vehicles leave, telling them to remain on Lamborghini property, instead.
