The March recap of Sarasota restaurant news.
The eagerly anticipated opening of Nancy’s Bar-B-Q at 301 South Pineapple Ave occurred last week. Long lines, tasty food, a décor reminiscent of an old Carolina smoke shack with tractor and smoker outside, and friendly service were there to greet us. If initial impressions are any indication, this will be a big success.
, the Mediterranean inspired cuisine located on Main Street near 5 Points has expanded their dining space. Taking the adjoining space, Mozaic has added more tables making reservations a little easier to come by. Also on the expansion front, , tucked away in the Paradise Plaza around the back from Publix planning on taking adjoining space and adding approximately 40 more seats.
Although not physically expanding, the always charming First Street Chop House is expanding their menu. Adding an Early Bird Option M-F from 4-5 with dinner entrees under $11 and $5 drink specials. Their new lunch menu will be coming soon and a true Sunday Brunch will be available starting on April 10, 2011 from 11:30am-2:30pm.
