Nashville-Based Upscale Restaurant Chain Coming To UTC Area

An upscale American bistro chain based in Nashville is opening a restaurant in Sarasota, the company's first in the greater Tampa Bay area.

SARASOTA, FL โ€” An upscale restaurant chain based in Nashville is moving into the greater Tampa Bay area with a new location opening at Sarasotaโ€™s University Town Center, multiple reports said.

The new BrickTopโ€™s restaurant is expected to open at 55 N. Cattlemen Road in the spring, according to the chainโ€™s website.

However, the 7,500-square-foot American bistro is more likely to open in mid-to-late summer 2027, BrickTopโ€™s project manager Leigh Anne Balsman told the Business Observer.

The company currently operates 11 restaurants in Alabama, Florida, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, BrickTopโ€™s restaurant said. Three are located in Nashville.

Florida locations include Naples, Miramar Beach, Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens. A Delray Beach restaurant is expected to open this fall.

Established 20 years ago, in 2006, by Joe Ledbetter, BrickTopโ€™s was named for Ada โ€œBricktopโ€ Smith, a legendary American-born singer, dancer and jazz club owner in Paris in the 1920s, according to Garden & Gun.
