New Bill Payment Options Available To County Utilities Customers

Sarasota County utilities customers can pay their bills online and by phone starting Sept. 8.

SARASOTA COUNTY, FL — Sarasota County’s Public Utilities Department is launching new user-friendly bill payment options for customers.

Starting Sept. 8, the new website will offer a “Pay Now” function to make quick payments without registering an account, the county said in a news release.

Enhanced functions for those who register an account allows for greater flexibility to make additional payments using credit or debit cards.

The new payment system also offers autopay, paperless statements and payment reminders, and also lets users view consumption, payment and bill history.

A new automated phone system is also available for customers to quickly check their account balance and use debit and credit cards to make payments.

The new system will offer customers a safe, convenient and secure way to pay their bills, according to Public Utilities Director Mike Mylett.

"As an organization we are always looking for innovative ways to provide the best services to the community. This new payment system is user-friendly and convenient, without sacrificing security," he said.
