New Sarasota Salon Shine Hair Design Studio Holds Grand Opening

Sarasota-based Master Hair Colorist and Stylist Mamie Katsarelas and Certified L'Oréal Colorist and Stylist David Michael Greb have opened a new hair salon: Shine Hair Design Studio, located in the Chili's Plaza at 4141 South Tamiami Trail, Suite 21, in Sarasota. Shine serves men and women, offering services ranging from master coloring, hair cutting and design, extensions and keratin smoothing treatments, to salon manicure and pedicures, facials, massage, Botox® events, and more. The salon provides a comfortably posh environment with WiFi, massage pedicure chairs, and a separate area for relaxing while treatments are in place. Katsarelas and Greb launched Shine Hair Design Studio on October 1, 2016, and held a grand opening, attended by over 200 clients and friends, on Thursday, December 1.

Prior to opening Shine, Katsarelas and Greb worked together for almost 15 years as independent contractors at the Diane K Salon on Tamiami Trail. A graduate of State College of Florida, Katsarelas has held her cosmetology license in Florida for over 25 years. Greb has also been licensed for 25 years, and together, the duo have built a strong following and clientele that followed them to their new studio.

Katsarelas and Greb are joined at Shine by a dynamic team of ten stylists and beauty professionals who also worked together for years at Diane K Salon. Kim Frazier, Ligaya Brooks, Lee Hereford, Marilyn Ludeman, and Tara Nelson, are well-known area colorists and stylists, offering everything from blow-outs to keratin smoothing and hair extensions. Board-Certified Esthetician Debbie Calesa specializes in facials, waxing, and skin treatments. Christine Williams and Lori Knight are licensed nail technicians providing spa pedicures, gel manicures, and a full range of nail services.

Shine Hair Design Studio is open Monday through Saturday, with walk-ins accepted every day, and early morning and evening availability by appointment.
