No Injuries in Sarasota Bus Crash
The two-vehicle accident did result in one motorist being charged with careless driving.

An early Tuesday morning crash involving a car and a school bus resulted in no injuries, but one motorist faces a careless driving citation.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred around 6:47 a.m. as a Sarasota County school bus driven by Reginold Payton, 38, was entering the roundabout on Honore Avenue from eastbound Webber Street. A 2012 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Kevin Lynch, 58, of Sarasota was following behind the bus at the time.

Troopers say when the bus stopped for oncoming traffic, the Jetta did not. The car’s front left side and windshield ended up striking the bus’s right rear corner.
Lynch was cited for careless driving, the patrol reported.

The patrol did not say how many students were on the bus at the time or what school it was headed for. The names of students are not being released due to their age.
