Notifications For 4,000 Vaccine Appointments Went Out Friday

Upcoming first-dose coronavirus vaccination clinics will be held Tuesday and Wednesday at the Sarasota Square Mall.

SARASOTA COUNTY, FL — The Department of Health in Sarasota County notified individuals from the county’s coronavirus vaccine queue Friday afternoon that they’ve been selected to receive the vaccine at upcoming clinics, the county said in an email.

The DOH will distribute 4,000 first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine at the Sarasota Square Mall, the county’s primary distribution site, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Those who receive an appointment notification have two hours to confirm or decline it, the county said. If an individual declines an appointment, they won't lose their place in the queue. They'll be contacted for the next available vaccine clinic.
